A women's work is never done, but we had lots of fun at Bowerfield House sorting and pairing all these socks up. With Vera and Pauline on the job it didn't take long to pair up every one’s socks. They are all nicely put away in everyone's bedroom ready for another day.

The residents had a delicious Chinese dish for lunch. Either Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice or Vegetable stir fry. They enjoyed the decorations and the fun fortune cookies. We also found out which animal each resident is is regards to the Chinese calendar.

Bowerfield House enjoyed taking part in Dignity Day, we had staff and residents write on a wooden heart and display it on the dignity tree.

Last week at Ashfield Court some of the residents were getting very creative ready for Valentine's Day, using a very different technique with Jigsaw pieces to create a heart for our valentines display!

We had a fabulous crafty morning creating some lanterns for the Lunar New Year. We used shapes and colour to create wonderful patterns on card before magically transforming them into lanterns which look great on display.

New Year new resolutions, both residents and WRL have decided to keep more active in this new year, WRL has created new daily exercise classes which are being trailed and will be a permanent feature from the next month’s activities regime, we do our best to keep our residents motivated and moving

Residents recently spent an hour taking part in the National Bird Watch scheme, we had three residents watching from the lounge and three watching from their rooms.

We were delighted when Jeanette, our wonderful Housekeeper here at Corinthian House won our first Regional Hero Award.

We enjoyed a lovely fish supper from our local fish and chip shop in January as a treat. Every Friday at the home we enjoy Fish and Chips but this Friday we received chips from our favourite local shop. The residents had such a lovely time, eating chips out of the paper and reminiscing

Rabbie Burns Night at the home is always something our residents enjoy, and this year was no different. We had a piper and an accordion player to entertain our residents and lots of singing and dancing before we sat down to a supper of haggis, neeps and tatties.

Rabbie Burns night in Scotland is always a wonderous night of celebrations at Parksprings. This year we wanted to do something a little extra special and filmed all of our wonderful residents reading the lines of a very famous song. There was amazing singing, poetry and reciting, Tartan

There is lots of work happening at Rosedale at the moment in the Lodge which is undergoing a huge refurbishment project to open April time. Our very handy maintenance man, Steve, has been such a huge help.

We are delighted to show you the start of our new project, Carson Gallery and making great progress finding new talent for embroidery, sketching and painting. We can't wait to show you the final product.

We have had some new additions in the field next to us at Field View and our residents have been popping out to see them and feeding the horses. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such lovely greenery at the home.

Our residents really enjoyed our fun OOMPH exercise session.

Pom poms add to the fun and getting everyone moving about is brilliant this has been a great introduction to our busy calendar and is very popular here at Troutbeck.
