Life in our homes

Our More…lifestyle programme is designed to keep life full and varied, with lots to explore and enjoy. We bring people together through shared experiences - from coffee mornings and talks to afternoon teas and discussions - providing the opportunity for both guests and residents to socialise and enjoy our homes.

We also believe good food and nutrition can aid a person’s recovery, and that every meal served should be comforting and ‘a hug on a plate’. Even for the shortest of stays we seek to understand tastes and preferences so that our talented chefs can carefully curate menu choices.

We pride ourselves on providing warm welcomes in our homes and would love to offer a tour and discuss your short-term care needs with you.

What does MMCG day care include?

Our fully inclusive day care services include food, drinks, and snacks throughout day. Preferences and dietary requirements are all taken into consideration and will be discussed with the guest at the start of their stay.

In addition, every day care guest will be enrolled in our engaging lifestyle programme. Activities vary and we will always strive to tailor these to individual needs and preferences.

How much does day care cost?

Our standard day care service is £150 per day and runs from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We do offer flexible start and finish times for an additional £20 per hour. Day care must be booked in advance and is subject to a discretionary 24-hour cancellation fee.

What is the difference between elderly day care and respite?

Day care provides a safe, warm, and comfortable environment for older people in the community to socialise and relax. At MMCG our day care services are available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and offers a full day of social, lifestyle, and nutritional benefits.

Respite stays are also available and comprise of overnight stays that are inclusive of care needs. We offer flexible respite packages for long and short stays, view further information about our respite care packages.

Does day care include a care plan?

Day care focuses on the social and lifestyle aspects of our services and doesn’t include any physical care. An assessment will be made ahead of any day stay to ensure guests are eligible.
