Chartwell Manor put on a lovely poppy display in their home to pay their respects on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. It featured lots of meaningful items, and a jar for collections towards The Poppy Appeal.

 

Lest we forget. 

The people living with us at Rosedale spent their day creating poppy artwork in preparation for Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

This weekend sees many untie together across faiths, cultures, and backgrounds to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Hope Green celebrated bonfire night on the 5th November. The people living with us had hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, as well as a slice of traditional parkin. Some of the people helped make their very own Guy for Guy Fawkes night, and some had fun going outside to have a go at a sparkler.  

Coplands care home celebrated Black History Month this week. Staff and some of the people living with us joined together for a celebration. There was a delicious buffet on offer for everyone to enjoy and decorations around the home. Everyone spoke about Black History and what it means to them.

Minster Grange had an amazing Halloween party. Colleagues, the people living with us, and family and friends all attended to celebrate the night. There was a lovely buffet from the kitchen and some tasty cakes. After, pumpkin carving took place, followed by a Halloween film in the lounge with a glass of wine. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good night.

The Wharf had a magical day out on The Severn Valley Railway. The people living with us had a great time on the train. We stopped off at Highly Station and strolled to The Engine House Museum and restaurant. In the Engine House there were lots of stalls to take a look at, selling lots of lovely products. We would like to say thank you to Peter and his family for getting us tickets to attend.

Princess Lodge had a great day celebrating Japanese culture. Colleagues and the people living with us dressed in traditional clothing and the kitchen team cooked a brilliant Japanese meal. This included chicken katsu curry and Japanese fluffy cheesecakes. The day also involved learning all about Japan’s culture which was very interesting. 

Glennie House celebrated their 18th birthday this week with residents and staff coming together to have a big party. Bobbie Dazzler provided first class entertainment, singing and dancing with the people living with us. 

The home also celebrated Leigh, Lesley, and Nicola (Care Practitioners), who have worked with us for a huge 18 years. Well done, your hard work and dedication is amazing.  

 

Bridge House Care Home held a Mad Hatters tea party recently.

The people living with us wore mad hats that they had decorated, and staff dressed up as different characters. We had great entertainment, and our wonderful chef gave us an amazing afternoon tea which was as delicious.

There was lots of fun, laughter, singing and dancing. A great day.

Allingham House Care Home and the local nursery enjoyed an intergenerational art session!

Everyone who joined in had a brilliant time creating some beautiful artwork by using a marbling technique. 

These art sessions combined with intergenerational activities have proven to be highly beneficial for everyone and created a calming environment that bringing everyone joy and happiness.
