A big thank you

A big thank you to all the people who are donating face masks, alcohol gel and face shields in the local community.

Thank You Wallingford School

Sending our appreciation to Wallingford School for donating us face shields. Thanks to Debbie, Alice and Johnny who have helped with packing the items and delivering them to us.

Easter at Cedar Court

Easter at Cedar Court has always been a special time. We would normally have a big Easter bonnet contest but due to the current times we have been unable to hold the events, but it didn't stop us from celebrating Easter.

The churches kindly sent us the services and hymns, along with special messages for our residents so we could hold a Sunday service in the home.

Garden Hill Supplies

Garden Hill of St Michaels Avenue in South Shields were so thankful to receive a delivery of hand sanitizer for the staff from Bob Singh and the Washington Volunteers.

Thank you for your welcomed donation.

Astor Court Visors

Community Spirit is certainly living and breathing in the North East.  We received a very kind donation of visors which were made by a local company, TintFit in Washington who custom made and delivered visors to the home for all of the care staff.  Such great community spirit and despite the home not being close to the company this didn't put them off ensuring we were fully kitted up.

Thank you so much TintFit we really do appreciate it.

Appletree Birthday Party

One of our residents shares his birthday with the Queen. He said jokingly that he hoped she would pop in and wish him Happy Birthday.

We had an idea.  We had Queen Elizabeth masks made and so he had plenty of birthday wishes from the Queen.  He laughed so much he was in tears and he said that we made his day.

Community Spirit at Earsdon Grange

Here at Earsdon Grange we have been so delighted with all of the lovely community spirit and wanted to say a few thank you's to let them know how very much we appreciate them.

A big thank you to West Allotment Club for their kind donations of tea, coffee and biscuits for all staff at home and selection of toiletries for the residents. These are all greatly appreciated and the residents were delighted to receive them from you.

Wash Bags for Willowdene

Willowdene Care Home on Lizards Lane, Sedgefield received a rather unexcepected but fabulous donation from Teeside scrub hub. They have donated some scrub bags for the staff.  These bags are so useful to us during these times and we wanted to say a huge thank you to you for thinking of us at Willowdene.

Chocolate Donation for Astor Court

We had a lovely surprise delivery at Astor Court from Clive Taylor who is the son of one of our residents.  He wanted to say thank you for all of the hard work the staff are doing at the home through this strange time whilst also trying to keep life normal for all of our residents.

Thank you so much, we all really appreciated the chocolates Clive.  It made our day.
