Moving into a care home can be daunting

Rest assured, our care team are here to make sure that making the move is as easy as possible for you and your loved one. If you still need reassurance, here are some stories from our residents, their families and our care team.

This year Nurse’s Day happened to fall during National Donut week so our residents had a wonderful time decorating donuts for our wonderful nurses. Not only was it fun but they were definitely as tasty as they looked!

Chef Allan found himself on TV last month as the National Technical Officer for British Taekwondo, this was at the European Tae championships 2022 Manchester.

His family are very proud of all his achievements as are we here at Howgate House.

The Platinum Jubilee party was in full swing at The Wharf. The bubbles were flowing for our families and loved ones with a sumptuous buffet that just kept on giving!. Everyone had a fabulous time, the feedback has been truly heartwarming and we just can't wait to be able to do it all

We've had a sensational time celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with those living with us, families, loved ones, our fabulous teams and entertainment. It has been a beautiful time to welcome so many visitors and to see the wondrous expressions of joy all around!.

We have celebrated the Queens Jubilee with an amazing entertainer at the home who sang a variety of songs for the people living with us. There were food, fun and laughter throughout the home as a buffet and refreshments were enjoyed in the dining room.
