
Mental Stimulation
Today we have enjoyed mental stimulation word challenge game. We thought of a word and then had to create as many words as we could from the chosen word, this certainly got us thinking and working our brains to the max. Along side this challenge, as you can imagine there were definitely some laughs our best score of the day was a whopping 16 words.

A Beautiful Morning
What a beautiful morning in Manorhey garden, looking for our furry friends the squirrels for their daily morning visit. Spring is almost definitely on its way.
A Week At Allingham
The residents enjoyed the last week having special activities to celebrate Chinese New Year, they were decorating the home with dragon bunting and also created beautiful illustrations that have been displayed around the home.
We know how important it is to keep in touch with the different community groups. The residents enjoyed singing songs with the children from the nursery next door in the garden.

Valentine's Day
We at Highfield enjoyed Valentine’s Day with lovely music, karaoke, dance, and a little tea party with variety of Valentine cupcakes. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and can’t wait for our next celebrations.

A Big Thank You
Thank you to all the staff at The Westbourne for their hard work and a hearty welcome to our new team members. A special hello from myself, Kathryn Dee and Lisa Kerr as the new Home and Deputy Manager.
Along with the cake, staff had a selection of chocolates, crisps, hand gels and hand creams as a treat for going above and beyond.
Birthday Card From The Queen
When Cassie turned 100 she got an amazing card from The Queen wishing her a happy birthday. How wonderful is that?

Valentine's Day Skype Calls
Happy times at Hope Green as our residents have regular Skype calls with their loved ones. This ladies was extra special as it was Valentine's Day.
Chinese New Year Celebrations At Parkview
Parkview House had a day dedicated to Chinese New Year celebrations. There was music, entertainment and opportunities for residents to explore the history of Chinese New Year of the Ox, Nicolas Kee Mew, Home Manager of Parkview House, said : "Our residents are always interested in learning more about my culture. I thought that there was no better way to learn than holding Chinese New Year celebrations right in the heart of Chingford. Residents enjoyed discovering their Chinese horoscope and practising Tai Chi."

The day of love we enjoyed a love filled day with music from none other than Elvis Presley and one of our regular entertainers Sam Jones via a YouTube stream. Reminiscing some of our favourite love ballads, not forgetting a treat of our Valentine's cupcakes.
