Reindeer Visit

Corinthian House enjoyed a visit from Santa's reindeers. Sven and Olaf came to spread some Christmas cheer with the people that live with us. Sven made some visits to the rooms of residents so the magic could be enjoyed by all. It was nice to share this magical moment with the people living with us, staff, family and friends.

Merry Christmas.

Chartwell Manor's charity work with Emmett's Genies

Chartwell Manor made the Berryfields News this week with their fabulous work they have been doing for Emmett’s Genies Charity. They helped create Christmas for their year-in-a-day event for critically ill children. Every child received a giant stocking filled with gifts and had the chance to meet Santa and Mrs Claus.

The home has been fundraising throughout the year and so far have raised £700 to support the charity’s amazing work, bringing smiles to the faces of poorly children.

Everyone came together at Allingham House to enjoy a great fundraising coffee morning to raise money for Children in Need. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy singing and dancing, whilst we had tea, coffee, and nibbles.

Armistice Day

Chartwell Manor put on a lovely poppy display in their home to pay their respects on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. It featured lots of meaningful items, and a jar for collections towards The Poppy Appeal.

Lest we forget.

Happy Halloween

Minster Grange had an amazing Halloween party. Colleagues, the people living with us, and family and friends all attended to celebrate the night. There was a lovely buffet from the kitchen and some tasty cakes. After, pumpkin carving took place, followed by a Halloween film in the lounge with a glass of wine. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good night.

Claremont Manor at the Dawlish Eat Festival

What a great day we had at the Dawlish Eat Festival this weekend. It was amazing to have an opportunity to celebrate food and introduce Hug on a Plate to the community. Allison, head of hospitality for MMCG, who created this initiative was on hand with Regional Support Matt to answer any questions around the food provision at Claremont Manor that people may have had.
