A Thank You To The Home
To all staff at Bowerfield Court, thank you for the wonderful care.
I've been touched by all the kind words about T you have conveyed to me. It's clear your really knew and loved the sweet and gentle soul T was. I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful care my brother received whilst living at Bowerfield Court. He really felt at home and loved getting to know you all and hearing about your families.

Sidmouth Ahoy
It is well known the incredible effect that the ocean has on our well-being - the sight, the sound, the smell.
It may not have been the brightest day, but it truly was a joy for those living at Kings Manor to venture out of the home and take a trip down to Sidmouth.
Although we were not able to leave the van (expect a single member of staff to pick up some ice cream), everyone was able to enjoy the natural scenery along the way and the beautiful sea views as we reached Sidmouth beach.

Happy Easter
The Easter Bunny made an appearance at Kings Manor over the weekend, he brought all the people living at the home a lovely Easter Egg and much joy as he hopped around. The team at Kings Manor also got involved by dressing up, using hair chalks, and even used their vocals on the karaoke machine. Huge thanks to Ottery St Mary Primary School who sent in some lovely Easter bags for the people at the home, they were thrilled to receive them, thank you so much.

Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers
The people who live at Kings Manor love to make the floral arrangements that are used in our restaurants. Each week the activities have a selection of flowers, sometimes from the gardens at the home that are then prepared and turned into some beautiful centre pieces for all at the home to enjoy.

Spring is on its way at Kings Manor Care Home
Spring is well on its way at Kings Manor Care Home, having our own gardener on staff allows for a very hands on approach to the development of the gardens and also to support anyone at the home who has a passion for gardening. There has been a lot of planting recently at the home and much excitement as everything is starting to grow.

Thank You From A Relative
Dear Danielle and the team at Carmel Lodge, I wanted to thank you for all the wonderful care you gave to my dad during the almost 12 months he spent with you. Dad always told me he was well looked after and that I was not to worry about home. It was a huge weight off my mind to know you were looking out for him. Everyone has been so kind and I always felt that you all knew him. I don't want to single people out but I am particularly grateful to activities for their patience in communicating with dad. All the team always helped and understood my concerns.
St George's Day
What a fab day to end the week we have had at Bowerfield House, we have all not stopped laughing and smiling all day. We have celebrated St George's Day and Geoffrey and Eileen's 61st wedding anniversary, they enjoyed a lovely lunch together. We have had crosswords, a quiz and a lovely tea party.

Kents Hill getting involved with its community
Kents Hill Care Home in Milton Keynes has been reaching out and making a difference to both young people and older people in the local community.
They are sponsoring the Aspley Guise Football Club’s Under-8s team kit this year – and colleagues there have even been turning out to support the team at their games too! The home is also collecting old football kits for the charity KitAid.
Also, colleagues at Kents Hill have made up almost 100 hampers for charity Age UK, being sent to elderly and vulnerable people in the community during a tough and isolating time.
The BIG 786Miles for ARUK
The Big Challenge was completed with miles left to spare at Kents Hill Care Home last week.
The residents, staff, relatives and local community all came together to reach the target of 786miles for Alzheimer's Research.
A huge well done to all for your hard work.
