Yohden Care Complex is a nursing and residential home accommodating up to 77 people. We provide care for younger adults, people aged 65 and over, some of whom are living with dementia and people with learning disabilities. Some of the comments from the report was that they felt they received person centred care and were fully involved in making decisions about their care. People had the option to participate in a variety of activities and were supported to access the local community. Another of our residents commented that “we are really respectful when helping her with personal care, it could be embarrassing but we make it ok and we always knock on her door before entering her room”.
Kayleigh O’Donnell, Home Manager read out the results in the morning meeting with staff, residents and relatives who were delighted to receive the news. “I’d like to thank all of the staff for their ongoing commitment to the home and the residents and thank the relatives and residents for all of their support of the home. Peter Jopling, resident at the home said, “It was great to hear that we received a good report and that they liked the home as much as me.”
Why not pop along to the home for a visit and to meet the activities team and have a coffee with us. Our door is always open to the community and enjoy an activity when you are here.
