World Alzheimer's Day at Cedar Court

Cedar Court Care Home marked World Alzheimer’s Day with a wonderful afternoon of music. Residents and families enjoyed a wonderful show from the female singing trio Timeless.

The home's great friend the Mayor of Waverley, Mary Foryzewski was guest of honour. She spoke with great sincerity about the problems people living with Alzheimer's, their family members and society face from Alzheimer’s. Mary Foryzewski joined in with Timeless and members of the audience for a fantastic finale of New York New York. The home's Head of Activities Michael Gains thanked the Mayor for her kind words about the home and reminded all that Alzheimer’s doesn't stop people from enjoying themselves in the moment as the afternoon of glorious weather, good company and wonderful music proved.
