Welcoming Jethro and Sweets to Pinewood

The benefits of pets as therapy and animal visits in care homes are well known, so here at Pinewood we decided to support our local sanctuary - Finni's Ark and had a visit from Jethro and Sweets, their adorable little ponies.

Everyone living in the home was so happy to see Jethro and Sweets and fed them carrots and polo mints! They were so well behaved, went in the lifts and visited all of our residents, both in the home lounges and some bedrooms! And at the end of the visit, the were greeted by our Hospitality Hostess Rita, along with the kitchen staff who gave some well deserved carrots as a reward for being well behaved.

The whole experience was great fun for the people living with us here at Pinewood, as many of them grew up with horses. and it was wonderful to see the residents interact with the ponies whilst sharing stories
