Visit to Pusto Farm for Clumber Court
Here at Clumber Court, we went on the mini bus to Pusto farm in March to see the sheep and lambs that had just been delivered. We went through the countryside looking at all the animals in the fields. We arrived about forty five minutes after leaving but it was a lovely journey and the residents seemed to enjoy looking out at the views. Before we got out of the bus we wrapped the residents in blankets to keep them warm. We where then taken to a stable where there were baby lambs and Jean the farmer told us all about the lambing and how the ewes look after the babies.
The residents really enjoyed it and some even held the lambs and gave them a cuddle. We got to look around the stables and Jean showed us some of the lambs that she was keeping as pets. It was very enjoyable for them as it was a lovely sunny day. Some of the residents were really keen to hold the baby lambs whereas other's were not so keen, but they enjoyed stroking them instead.
We then went to have a cup of tea and biscuits in the small cafe, Jean was very knowledgeable and told us many stories about the lambing season and everyone listened with interest. It was a lovely day out and everyone enjoyed it.
