VE Day at Allingham
VE day is celebrated all over Europe every 8th May since 1945 to commemorate the end of the WWII in Europe. The residents and staff joined to the celebrations with a traditional VE Day party. Everyone enjoyed making their own Union Jack Flags and Bunting that was displayed all around the home.
Also, the residents enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea where cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee were served for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, the residents sang and danced the most popular songs in WWII from It's a long way to Tipperary to We'll meet again by Vera Lynn.
