Thank You Letter
We received a lovely thank you letter this week.
"I`d like everyone at Hope Green to know how immensely grateful I am for everything that you have all done to ensure that my mother`s last years were healthy and happy.
Despite me living so far away, and only having been able to visit the North of England once or twice a year, I can remember on my every single visit to Hope Green being aware of the hard work, patience, kindness and concern exhibited by each and every one of the staff .
Almost every time I spoke to my mother since she came to live at Hope Green, whether in person or over the telephone or, mostly over the skype that you had so kindly enabled, she was always quick to mention how well she was being looked after, and how content she was.
I know that many times I have called up and asked to speak with my mother, uncomfortably aware that her room was as far away as she could be from the front office, and I always received the utmost courtesy and patience from the staff taking the telephone to my mother so that we could speak.
Never once during my personal visits did I encounter anything other than total politeness and cheery dispositions from everyone, even as was usually evident that the task of looking after elderly folk was far from easy.
I am particularly grateful that we (my wife and I ) were able to talk with my mother via skype on her birthday in April ( as it was the last time we spoke ). I will always remember the conversation. Although my mother did seem some what frail, her sense of humour was undaunted. She somewhat exaggerated the exploits of her son ( as she proudly recounted them to the nurse at her side, I believe it was Jess, and for the first time in quite a few years, gently chastised me for my scruffy beard. My mother did not seem able to easily pick up our words over the computer, but Jess was most careful and patient to pass on what we had said so that my mother understood. This was a further demonstration of the unfailing dedication shown by your staff, and I shall indeed be eternally grateful.
Best regards
