Supporting Others at Field View Care Home
They say home is where the heart is and at Field View Care Home, Hesleden Road, Blackhall we are most certainly the care home which cares.
In 2019 we are delighted to say we have raised £545 for charity this year. In April we raised £160 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind association by organising a bring and buy sale and our lovely residents also knitted and crocheted blankets for the dogs whilst in training.
A charity close to our heart at Field View is the local charity Tiny Lives who gave amazing support to our very own Sharon Quinn when her daughter gave birth to her beautiful twin girls Maddison and Mia. They were born in 2018 and received support from the charity. The home organised a charity walk with the residents and staff and it was so successful we organised a second walk this year and raised £185.
No year would be complete without a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Research on 26th September when we raised a fantastic £200 with our bake sale with home made cakes from the residents and staff.
We will finish the year supporting the Salvation Army winter appeal in November ready for Christmas and more on that in the coming months.
Why not join us for a coffee and a cake at our weekly coffee morning every Wednesday morning between 10.30 am – 11.30 am.
