Rated Gold by Sunderland City Council
Staff and residents at Barnes Court of Wycliffe Road in High Barnes are celebrating being awarded a ‘Gold’ rating by Sunderland City Council for the second year running.
Sunderland City Council operates a Quality Standard Assessment process which inspects 50 homes within the Sunderland area and then provides the home with a Quality Rating. The inspection process judges homes based on the safety of residents, effectiveness, leadership, responsiveness and the caring element of the service.
Mandy Mackley, Home Manager at Barnes Court Care Home, said: “We are delighted to have received this award for the second year running, this is a true testament to the philosophy we have at Barnes Court of a happy and welcoming home.
We ensure we maintain the highest of care standards at Barnes Court whilst ensuring each resident’s individual happiness is at the heart of the process. All of the team at Barnes are committed to making a difference to the lives of our residents and I am delighted to see this has come through on the report.”
Barnes Court provides nursing, residential and dementia care for the elderly and specialist care for young adults.
