Pirate Day at Ashmead

“Ahoy, me hearties!” was the sound heard across Ashmead Care Centre as we celebrated our very first Pirates Day.  Staff members, people living in the home and visitors joined in the theme by dressing up in eye patches, bandanas, captain’s hats and there were a few toy parrots to be spotted as well.

The activity team really dressed up for the occasion and entertained us all with a pirate-themed show which included balloon sword fights, dancing and singing to sea shanties along with tales of buried treasure. Everyone had a terrific afternoon and is looking forward to the next one.
