The National Storytelling Week
The last week the residents joined to the celebration of The National Storytelling Week. We organised different activities, starting on Tuesday with arts and crafts when the residents enjoyed colouring the famous 'Once upon a time in a far, far away...' The residents created very nice illustrations, some of them asked if we can display them in their rooms as they were very proud of them.
Wednesday was the day when a resident volunteered herself to read the tale The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde to other residents, she really enjoyed reminiscing about when she used to do it to her own children and the residents that were listening really enjoyed the tale.
Also, on Thursday the staff could show their acting skills doing a dramatized lecture of traditional tales like, 'The Three Little Pigs' and 'Little Red Riding Hood', the residents especially enjoyed the impersonations of The Three Little Pigs and The Wolf.
