May Day Tree Planting 🌳

The Queen's Green Canopy is an initiative running nationwide to encourage people to plant a tree to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We are blessed with a garden full of

beautiful trees, but we thought this would be a great opportunity to start planting in the front of the home where we have plenty of space. But we couldn’t stop there…



Thus, introducing our new Memory Tree! We wanted to create a space dedicated to all of the wonderful people who have lived at Abingdon Court. A space for staff to come and reflect, and for family members to pass by and remember.



We welcomed the wonderful Abingdon Morris Dancers to wassail the trees, and perform for those who live here.



We cannot wait to watch our two new trees flourish in the years to come, the start of a larger plan to bring life to the front garden of our home 🍃
