Letters and Pictures from Sedgefield Primary School
During these uncertain times the community spirit in Sedgefield is certainly alive and well and at it’s best. Residents of Willowdene Care Home on Lizards Lane, Sedgefield were delighted to receive a very special package from the children of Sedgefield Primary School. The gorgeous pictures and letters sent from the school really cheered up our residents when they received their letter in the morning post.
Angela Penman, Activities Coordinator at Willowdene Care Home took the letters and pictures around to all of our residents to see and assisted with reading the letters where it was needed. We have pinned up the pictures and letters onto the residents doors so they can look at them often.
Angela said “their faces lit up when they saw the children of Sedgefield Primary School were thinking of them during this time and had sent in letters and pictures. They are all hoping, when we are able, the children can come and visit for juice and cake to meet their new friends at Willowdene Care Home. Such a lovely gesture made such a huge impact to the residents and we are so grateful to you all, thank you”.
