Jubilee Tree Planting
‘Cedar Court took part in the incentive to plant a tree in honour of the Queens Jubilee’
On Thursday 31 March 2022 Cedar Court took part in the "Plant a Tree for the Queens Jubilee" incentive. We invited our good friend the Mayor of Waverley, Councillor John Robini to plant the tree for us. Sadly the weather although sunny, was far too windy and cold for our residents to enjoy the event outside, however, that didn't stop a fun afternoon.
The Mayor and home manager, Nimmy Markson planted the tree indoors, before it was quickly whisked away to give to Pete our gardener to plant in its allocated plot in the courtyard garden.
Our very own Glee Club ( our residents in song) serenaded the Mayor with a few songs including a very spirted 'God Save the Queen'.
Live entertainment for the afternoon was Billy Clayton who performed a wonderful set from the 60's and 70's. The Mayor then joined us for afternoon tea, chatting to all the residents and thanked us for our warm hospitality, it was a magical day enjoyed by all.
