Jubilee Celebrations
We started the Jubilee Celebrations in Cedar Court by creating crowns in our arts and craft activity and putting together a memory board of the Queen, along with our residents very fond memories. This was guarded by our Royal Guard in honour of special guest, Queen Elizabeth II
We then held a special Jubilee Church service taken by Rev Rutton of the St Nicholas Church.
During our Garden Party the residents were entertained by “Timeless” with afternoon tea served. The High Sheriff of Surrey was in attendance and planted our second tree “Tree for Jubilee”, the first being planted back in March by the Mayor of Waverley. Residents partook in the singing, waving flags, toasting the Queens achievements over the last 70 years and thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the sun shone.
We finished our celebrations with a concert “fit for a Queen” when we came together and sang some of our, and the Queens favourite songs followed by afternoon tea in the gardens.
