Healing Hector Visits Abingdon Court

We may not be allowed visitors of the human kind so Healing Hector stepped into Abingdon Court Care Home to spread some joy and happiness. As colourful hector ran towards the front door he raised many smiles both inside and outside the building.

Covid-19 may take away many of our activities temporarily but Covid cannot take away the memories of this special day. 

Healing Hector brought smiles for miles, engaging in his own relaxed way with his beautiful bring brown eyes that literally talk to you in his own special way. He was totally pampered and enjoyed all the love and hugs from both the residents and members of staff. He especially enjoyed his doggy treats and his nice walk in the afternoon sun in the garden.

Animal assisted therapy (AAT) has been proven to treat the emotional, physical, social and emotional well-being, and Hector definitely achieved this and more, he uplifted the whole building and would have happily stayed overnight if he had had a chance.
