Get Involved in the Big Knit Making Hats

Covid-19 has affected Belvoir Vale just like it has many other homes around the country. Residents are missing going out and about, having entertainers in and most of all seeing their families. The staff here have done the most amazing job of comforting residents, keeping people in touch through Skype and phone calls, and being there when their loved ones can't, but we want to try and do more.

To keep residents (and staff!) busy through lock down, we've decided to harness the residents skills. Whether that is knitting, pom pom making or encouraging others with company and plenty of cups of tea involved, we are fundraising for Age UK and making hats for The Big Knit. Our goal is to make as many as we can while we are in lock down, and to have a huge box full ready to send off at the end! But we need your help too!

You can get involved in many ways, you can donate wool to the home for us to knit with, you can knit hats yourself and send them to us, or you can make a donation of money to our fundraising pot! We can't do it without you! 

I am already so proud of how the residents have coped, let's give them something to be proud of when we've finished!
