Field View celebrates 100th Birthday

Here at Field View Care Home on Hesleden Road, Blackhall we love a good celebration and we were delighted to celebrate Sheila Dunn’s 100th Birthday on 21st February.  Sheila came to us at Field View about a month ago and we were so excited that her 100th birthday was approaching we made plans to bake a cake for Sheila and the residents and celebrate in style. Her family arranged to hold a tea party in the pub in the home and she had so many visitors throughout the day to celebrate with her.  They brought in a birthday cake with a beautiful picture of Sheila. They had sandwiches, crisps and miniature snacks and Sheila had visits from her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. It was such a lovely celebration. 

She also received her birthday card from the Queen which was pride of place in her room.  She received lots of lovely girls and flowers from her family. We presented Sheila with a cake and a bouquet of flowers from everyone here at Field View Care Home. Happy Birthday from us all at Field View Care Home.

If you would like to pop into the home to enjoy a slice of cake and tea with Sheila and our residents at Field View Care Home we hold a coffee morning every Wednesday from 10.30 – 11.30.  All welcome.
