Christmas at The Westbourne

Christmas has arrived at Westbourne and we a fully in the festive swing.

So far, we have had Elf Day which was a huge success, our staff and manager went all out dressing up as Elves for the day which our residents loved. We will also have our domestic Karen, singing amazingly for us on Thursday which we are looking forward to as she has a wonderful voice, we also had a staff Christmas sing along, it was lovely to see our residents engaging with the music and to see smiles on their faces.

Massive thanks to Tammy and Dave for sourcing and putting up a new Christmas Tree outside the home, it is huge and took some skill from Dave putting the star on top. It makes the home look so inviting and friendly. Brittany from our domestic team has been our very own Christmas Elf spreading festive spirit through the home every day.

We have recently been allowed to open after being in COVID lockdown, so it has been lovely to see families reunited especially so close to Christmas.

We have also been baking cakes, decorating baubles, painting and we have had a professional singer in the home to entertain the residents.

Today we have a Christmas Party in the home, with lovely food and music for residents, all the staff have worked together to decorate the home and make it feel festive and warm.  It’s been such an exciting December for the Westbourne with our new Manager Faye, and we have had 7 new members of staff joining us alongside some new residents not forgetting the new home Budgie, Buddy, who is signing to us every day, so we are all feeling super positive for Christmas and the New Year.

Everyone at The Westbourne wishes you a Lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year
