Care Home residents at Barnes Court are knitting for the local health centre

Barnes Court Care Home of Wycliffe Road, High Barnes love being part of the community and have launched an initiative in the home to make baby blankets for the Young Mum and Baby Centre based at Hendon Health Centre. Sue Hutchinson, Activity Coordinator at Barnes Court has organised a weekly activity for all residents to come along and learn how to knit or stitch the squares together and we even have a few of our male residents taking part in the activity.  Mandy Mackley, Home Manager, at Barnes Court is delighted that the residents wanted to take part to help a local cause and once they have enough blankets completed they will arrange a bus trip over to the Centre to drop off the blankets which everyone is looking forward to.

Why not pop along to our next coffee morning on Friday 28th February at 11am and meet some of our fantastic knitting team and maybe have a go at making a square yourself.  Everyone welcome to come along.
