Buckingham House wins "Home of the Year"

Residents and staff were celebrating after Buckingham House Care Home was named Care Home of the Year 2020 at the recent Maria Mallaband Care Group and Countrywide Care Homes Annual Care Awards. 

The awards ceremony was held online for the first time ever as the usual Gala evening was postponed due to COVID restrictions.  The awards were originally created to acknowledge the efforts of staff and the impact they have on the lives of residents and their families.  This recognition is more important than ever in recognising the commitment of staff in light of the recent COVID challenges.

The home organised a big BBQ and garden party then settled down to watch the awards on a large screen TV set up in the garden.
