Brunel House Christmas Decoration Competition

Each year it has been left for activities to decorate the home, this year we wanted to shake it up a little.

All staff from all departments were asked to work as a team, come up with lots of ideas and decorate their chosen floor.

The winner would be announced by our ever loyal Dr Vaughan, who visits us twice weekly. The winning floor would receive a bottle of champagne, rosette, framed certificate and host our annual New Years Eve party.

The preparation lasted for nearly 2 weeks, staff volunteered their free time, lots of arts and crafts and messy fun for residents to get involved with. It was a healthy competition and it was just amazing seeing everyone work so hard with their creativity.

After careful consideration, Dr Vaughan announced the winners;

Waverley, for best overall decorations. Well done!

Commendation also goes to Caledonian for skill, creativity and teamwork in making the house with snowmen and the cardboard nativity scene, and to Mallard for great use of paper chains in the lounge and for my favourite individual decoration, the gold and silver curtain of streamers on the wall outside the lounge. Congratulations to all of you.
