Arts and Crafts Sessions and Monthly Activities

This month we have been doing memory games with residents looking at famous actors and musicians etc from the past. We have been discussing about those people and working on key historical figures. It has worked well chatting in a group as well as one to one.

As part of our sensory aims, we have been bagging up lavender for each residents room and smelling and touching this scent. These have been placed around residents rooms in organza bags and also in the lounges to create a sensory experience. Some of the residents have helped the activities coordinator arrange this. 

We have been painting pebbles from the local river which are being decorated by the residents with patterns and names to put in the garden near the plants. The residents have enjoyed painting and decorating.
