Allingham's Activities

We know how important it is to keep in touch in these challenging times and thanks to the technology this is possible. The residents have enjoyed a video call with the children from the nursery next door and from the IBS. The children and the residents really enjoyed singing their favourite songs like Incy Wincy Spider, I'm A Little Teapot, The Grand Old Duke Of York and Jack and Jill. Also, the residents enjoyed singing songs, playing a quiz and reminiscing about school times with volunteers from IBS community group, a group of young people that once a month do activities with residents by skype calls.

Also, the residents joined the celebrations of The National Brew Monday, to blow any possible winter blue that it could be. We organised a coffee morning where the residents enjoyed all sorts of different cakes, Victoria sponge cake, cherry bakewell tarts, lemon cake and apple pies were all served with teas and coffees.

Futhermore, during that week we were remembering the figure of Martin Luther King Jr. on the day of his birthday. The residents were colouring the famous 'I have a dream' and wrote a list with their dreams.

Finally, this week, the residents could go in the garden and enjoy the beautiful view of the snow, also we had time to discover the foot prints of one of our "friends", a beautiful fox that used to visit us from time to time, and to make the first snowman of the season.
