Aboriginal Dot Art

Aboriginal people have used dots in art and other forms for a long time. Dots can be seen in symbolic patterns carved on artefacts, rocks, stone and bodies. It’s thought the first form of dot art was drawn on the earth to communicate.

Dot art was our arts and craft project at Birch Heath Lodge this week. We took stencils of our favorite animals and using paint and cotton wool buds let our creativity flow.
