This week here at Hope Green the residents took part in a little baking, which went down a treat. A few of our residents and their family sat down to make and bake a few buns to serve with the afternoon tea trolley. Our residents enjoyed the activity and were very happy to know their cakes were served out to the rest of the home later on that day. This gives our residents a sense of accomplishment and we are very proud of them here at Hope Green.
Later on in the week, we were greeted by Joe from "Seasonal Film Shows." He invited our residents into his little world of projection shows. The show would cast a lovely scene for our residents imagination to dive on into. Scenes such as nature walks, lakes and rivers. This sort of activity is wonderful for those of our residents whom are too poorly to partake in an outside nature walk of their own. "Seasonal Film Shows" greeted our residents with some music of which our ladies and gentlemen loved and would be heard singing along to. We here at Hope Green can't wait to see Joe again on the 28th November for a "Winter Wonderland" projection show.
We finished off our week with one to one games and nail panting. We gave our ladies a fresh coat of polish and our gentlemen a nice nail bath. We embrace next week with an open heart with plenty more fun opportunities for our residents to partake in.
