Our yearly awards celebration returns this July to recognise all the amazing work our colleagues do!
On Thursday 20 July at the Royal Armouries in Leeds we will be once again celebrating all the amazing work our colleagues do for the people living in our homes. This year we have revamped the awards and the categories our colleagues and teams can be nominated for this year are:
Head office support superstar - Sponsored by Ward Hadaway LLP
This award will recognise a member of head office or a regional support colleague who provides excellent service to ensure the smooth running of our services. This award is for an individual who is exceptional in the way they support their manager and team, and someone who in a helpful manner, is happy to always assist.
Lifestyle pioneer - Sponsored by Oomph! Wellness
This award will recognise a colleague in the Lifestyle team who has demonstrated that they can provide a ‘needs’ led, varied and appropriate programme for those living in our homes, showing exceptional skills and creativity in planning, and delivering activities. They are also an individual who thinks about the needs of all the people living in our homes, who is inclusive and passionate about what they do.
Manager of the year - Sponsored by My Purchasing Partner
This award will recognise a manager who has demonstrated their support for the whole team, ensuring a superior, well led service for the home. The winner of the award is someone who demonstrates initiative, leadership and delivers to the benefit of each home, their team and ultimately those living and working in it.
MMCG Master Chef - Sponsored by Lily Comms
This award will recognise a member of the kitchen team who strives to ensure the people living with us receive quality and nutritious meals. In each meal they take into consideration each of the residents’ various dietary requirements, variety, new menu options and great tasting food! (This award will involve a cook off scheduled a few weeks ahead of the awards ceremony.)
Deputy manager of the year - Sponsored by Caters
This award will recognise a Deputy Manager who effectively supports the Home Manager in their role to ensure a superior, well led service. The winner of the award is someone who demonstrate initiative, leadership and delivers to the benefit of each home, their team and ultimately those living and working in it.
Home of the year - Sponsored by DAC Beachcroft
This award will recognise the entire team within a home and all the great things they do to make it the best for the people living within it. Good reviews, good CGC rating, high occupancy and an all-round great team environment that benefits those living within the home.
Maintenance person of the year - Sponsored by Guardian Consultancy Services Ltd
This award will recognise a member of the maintenance team who provides superior and seamless support within the home. The winner of the award is someone who goes above and beyond to support the home in all maintenance matters.
Administrator of the year - Sponsored by Apogee
This award will recognise the home administrator who provides excellent service to ensure the smooth running of the home, including fully supporting those living in the homes as well as their families. This role if very important in our homes and supports managers and all team members.
Inspiring nurse of the year - Sponsored by Catalyst Interiors
This award will recognise a nurse who achieves the highest standards of care, leading by example and fully supporting colleagues. The winner of the award is someone who lives and breathes nursing and highlights the importance of a person-centred approach in everything they do.
Ancillary person of the year - Sponsored by Countrywide Healthcare Supplies LTD
This award will recognise a member of the ancillary team who truly demonstrates they are the backbone of their home, providing a welcoming, clean, and homely environment for both the people living with us and their relatives. They take special pride in their work and have received thanks from others in recognition of all they do. (To include housekeepers, hospitality, reception, laundry, and kitchen assistants.)
Excellence in care - Sponsored by Kilworth Flooring & Furnishings
This award will recognise the significant contribution made by a member of the care team, who is consistently providing a high-quality standard of care and support for the people living with us. They are an individual who demonstrates a commitment to a person-centred approach, is respectful to everyone’s needs and they also work well as part of a close team. (To include carers, senior carers, CP, and nurse associates.)
Lifetime achievement award - Sponsored by Lighthouse Risk Services LLP
This award will recognise a colleague who has dedicated their working life to the success of the company. The winner of this prestigious award will be chosen by our company owner and Executive Chairman, Phil Burgan.
